BASScare has a variety of independent living units across four locations in Canterbury and Surrey Hills. Accommodation varies but are typically a one bedroom style unit.

BASScare units provide the perfect solution for those who wish to live independently within a supportive community. The self-contained units are ideal for people who no longer want the burden of maintaining their own home, yet do not need supervised care.

Locations and features of Self Contained Living Units

26 Rochester Road, Canterbury
Twenty four refurbished one bedroom units with ensuite bathrooms and washing machines. A great central location, 500m to Canterbury station, a bus stop right out front and within walking distance to Maling Road.

The block is situated on three levels and most units have small private gardens. Each unit has a living room with kitchen and dining area. There is a communal laundry and car parking is available.
6 Chaucer Crescent, Canterbury
Seventeen refurbished one bedroom units with ensuite bathrooms and washing machines, in a beautiful garden setting. Most units have private gardens and some units are elevated.

Each unit has a living room with kitchen and dining area. There is a communal laundry. The units are close to the bus and to Canterbury and East Camberwell stations.
6 Highfield Road, Canterbury
Sixteen one bedroom units refurbished with ensuite bathrooms and washing machines all with their own private garden area, along with a fully self-contained community room which includes reverse cycle air conditioning, piano and television.

The Highfield Road units are centrally located close to Maling Road, as well as Chatham and Canterbury Roads.
95 Middlesex Road, Surrey Hills
Fourteen refurbished one bedroom units with ensuite bathrooms on a women’s only site. Located in a leafy suburb- a great location a short walk from the Riversdale Road tram and Riversdale Road shops.

There is a communal laundry and a small number of car parks are available on site. Each unit has a living and kitchen area.
