Social and Activity Programs

Our Social Activity programs are designed to promote the health and well-being of individuals, foster stronger friendships, and alleviate feelings of isolation and loneliness.

These programs offer a variety of social activities tailored for older adults residing in the City of Boroondara and nearby suburbs. Activities are scheduled five days a week, with transportation available to centers located in Canterbury, North Balwyn and Ashburton, ensuring accessibility for local residents.

Programs Offered

The programs on offer vary at each location and include:

BC Connect Tech Support

BASScare offers BC Connected tech support sessions four times a week. Volunteers can assist you with understanding your device, adding apps and even how internet banking works.

Art and Craft

No matter your skill level or area of interest we offer a space for you to be creative and get to know other like minded people.

Outings and Day Trips

If you’re looking to get out and about we can help with that! We offer outings twice a week for clients wanting to see new sights and socialise.

Boroondara Blokes Mens Group

Looking for a men’s only group for you or a loved one? We know that socialising can be hard at any age so we have made it easy to have a chin wag and a nice day out with a bunch of other blokes.

Hairdressing

Look & Feel fantastic from head to toe. Fresh hair will make you look and feel fantastic.

Podiatry

Our feet cop a hammering. We’re on them every single day, whether we’re just running errands or doing more intensive activities such as exercise.
